Last week, on behalf of University of Applied Sciences Aspira and at the invitation of Rera S.D., our Vicedean Petra Mandac participated in a series of activities as part of the ADRINCLUSIVE project –
Innovative and sustainable tourism offer for equal access and social inclusion of people with dementia and cognitive decline to tourist destinations in the Adriatic Sea.
The project promotes the creation of an innovative, sustainable and inclusive tourist offer in the Adriatic area, for people with dementia and people with reduced cognitive abilities, by strengthening innovation and technology transfer for the purpose of developing new, adapted services and solutions for accessible tourism, creating a network of social and tourist institutions for the promotion cross-border tourism activities that are able to generate social inclusion in the Adriatic region.
The first part of this study visit was related to familiarization with examples of good practices in Italy, of course in terms of increasing inclusivity in tourist trips, while the second part included participation in round tables, with the aim of discussing the topic of introducing inclusive elements in the training of tourist workers, tourist arrangements and cultural and tourist infrastructure. Entire series of activities was rounded up with CrossBorder round table in Cesena.
