The Centre for Career Development and Support aims to create a student profile according to the labour market requirements. It contains a database of information needed for students to create their own profile. Among other things, it offers many workshops that can contribute to skills strengthening, as well as to connecting with companies in terms of enabling student practice.
Since the beginning, our philosophy of knowledge transfer has been based on practicality and recognizing the needs of the economy for certain skills and competencies of our students, who will assume their role and responsibility in the design, development and management of existing but also unused resources.
In our opinion, the best way to accomplish the above mentioned qualities is the development of synergy between us, our students and of course the economic factors, our partners in sports, tourism and IT organizations, with the ultimate goal of coordinating education and demand for educated workforce.
The Career Day, which we organize annually, is an opportunity for our students to create connections and contacts with business entities so they can approach them and study their needs and ultimately adapt to the state of the labour market. It is also an opportunity for our partners to crystallize new ideas, to direct some of the students towards their specific requirements through providing practical work or engagement within their work processes and beyond the framework initially set for such an event.
Prominent guest lecturers from economic, academic and political life enrich regular lectures. Work done by the Centre for Career Development and Support is best confirmed by the fact that 93% of the Aspira students find employment in the profession after finishing the college, or continue their education on a graduate level. After completing the studies, the students remain connected with the University College Aspira through the Alumni club.
