Our colleagues Sandra Kovačević and Branka Šegvić participated in the Erasmus+ training course “Persuasive Public Speaking for Researchers”, held from 8 to 12 June 2026 in Valencia, Spain. During the training, they explored and enhanced their public speaking skills in the context of scientific research. Through interactive lectures and practical workshops, they had the opportunity to develop techniques for persuasive communication, structuring presentations, and effectively presenting scientific content to diverse audiences.

The programme also provided an excellent opportunity for international networking. Sandra and Branka connected with professors and researchers from numerous European universities and universities of applied sciences, exchanged experiences, and gained insights into different approaches to teaching and research.
In addition to professional knowledge, the training offered interesting insights into other fields as well. Among other things, they were introduced to the basics of dendrochronology (feel free to Google it 😊).
They also took advantage of their stay in Valencia to explore the city’s rich cultural and gastronomic heritage, discovering hidden gems where they enjoyed some of the best paella and wine.

Participation in the Erasmus+ programme is a valuable international experience that contributes to the professional development of our staff, strengthens international cooperation, and enhances the quality of teaching and education.
