As many as three of our employees had the opportunity to participate in the International Week under the name Viva la Turkiye! which took place from 9th to 13th May at Alanya HEP University in Turkey. After a long partnership with the University of Alanya which brought us Erasmus mobility students and which hosted our students there, we have now further deepened the partnership through staff cooperation through an interesting and interactive International Week. Representatives of Aspira College were Antonia Muslim from our marketing department, Dina Mišerda from the finance department and Sanja Baraka as the representative of the lifelong learning department.
The week started with the introduction of Alanya HEP University, and already on the first day we had the opportunity to present Aspira and the programs we offer in front of as many as 77 participants from 17 European countries. After that, on the second day, a tour of Alanya was organized during which our kind hosts made an effort to show us the most important sights of the city.
In addition to the beautiful cultural and natural heritage of the area, this mobility was especially important because we managed to experience first-hand the culture and gastronomy of Turkey through a Turkish folk dinner with all International Week participants and a traditional Turkish breakfast served by the sea at the foot of the famous Red Tower – one of the most famous sights in Alanya.
Our hosts were three employees of the International Relations Department who made sure that we get the optimal ratio of knowledge, exchange of experiences, new partnerships and enjoying a new, slightly different culture. We give special thanks to Anna Maria Bielecka, Alicia Dzeinis and Christina Farami for this unforgettable experience in beautiful Alanya!
