From June 15 to 19, Aspira hosted the International Staff Week & BIP within the Erasmus+ programme, under the theme “Teaching and Working in Multicultural Academic Environments.” The event brought together 30 participants from various countries, including France, Poland, Greece, Romania, and Slovenia. The main objective of the event was to promote internationalisation and facilitate the exchange of good practices within the Erasmus+ framework.
The programme began with an interactive introductory workshop and ice-breaking activities, during which participants were divided into teams. Through collaborative tasks, they had the opportunity to get to know one another, establish initial connections, and lay the foundations for future cooperation. Following these activities, representatives of partner institutions delivered presentations about their universities and organisations, showcasing their educational systems, examples of best practices, and experiences in implementing Erasmus+ projects.
As part of the programme, participants took part in a guided tour of Split on Tuesday, where they explored the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. In addition to the formal activities, guests had the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Split and its surroundings, visit Žnjan, experience local gastronomy, and socialise in the welcoming atmosphere of the city’s restaurants and cafés. These informal gatherings further contributed to networking, the exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of international partnerships.
Through a combination of professional content, cultural activities, and informal networking opportunities, the International Staff Week & BIP once again highlighted the importance of international cooperation and intercultural dialogue in higher education, creating opportunities for new projects, initiatives, and long-term collaborations within the Erasmus+ programme.
