As part of the Erasmus+ project, students from Aspira University College had the opportunity to spend a week in Paris and gain valuable academic experience. In collaboration with Gustave Eiffel University, located in Paris, the students had the opportunity to work with fellow students from Austria, the Netherlands, France, and Switzerland, and stay on the campus of the French university. After familiarizing themselves with the new environment, the students attended a live Roland Garros Paralympic tennis match and visited an exhibition on the history of the Paralympic Games at the Pantheon Museum.
In addition to activities related to the organization and implementation of the Paralympic Games, the students participated in the EASM (European Association for Sport Management) conference, where they heard about the latest developments in the world of sports from renowned experts. To ensure the experience wasn’t just about listening to lectures, the students were tasked at the end of the productive week with developing a concept for opening an “Accessible Gym”, a workout space adapted for people with disabilities. Along with developing the entire idea, great emphasis was placed on marketing and promoting the concept. The students returned with plenty of positive impressions and wonderful memories.
