Aspira University of Applied Sciences hosted a short Erasmus+ BIP program as part of the Erasmus+ initiative in Split, titled Football and the Digital World: How Internet Marketing is Changing the Game. The program lasted from October 24 to 28, with participation of 31 students and 4 professors. Project participants came from four different universities: Gustave Eiffel from France, VIVES from Belgium, BUEM from Slovakia, Kauno Kolegija from Lithuania, and the host Aspira University of Applied Sciences representing Croatia.
During the five days of the program, the schedule was filled with various activities and content. The main task for participants was to create a comprehensive project for the student football club, F.C. Aspira. Under the project title “Brand Me New” participants were required to meet a range of set criteria, including the completion of logo, jerseys and promotional materials design, along with social media content creation, with developing a strategy to attract students to join the student football club.
For inspiration and practical examples, students attended a thematic lecture titled “Best of Football vs. Best of Marketing” at Aspira. Additionally, students visited Poljud Stadium, where they participated in a stadium tour and attended a lecture on the business operations and marketing of the Hajduk football club. On Saturday, they also experienced “football fever” in Split by attending the Hajduk – Lokomotiva match at Poljud Stadium.
On the final day, all student groups presented their conceptual projects, from which the best team was selected. Participants received certificates for their involvement in the Erasmus BIP project. A big thank you to all participants, and we look forward to upcoming projects in the future!
