Aspira University College has been participating in Erasmus + Mobility Program for the past 7 years, sending its students and staff to various exchange programs. Collected experience at foreign universities has been implemented by our staff in day-to-day teaching to follow up with top trends in education. Head of the Sports Management study program, Marin Nerlović and his two students – Magdalena Kraljić and Blaž Kozina were on such exchange at the private university, Schloos Seeburg, in Austria. Professor Nerlović reviewed his stay at the famous Austrian educational institution and shared his impressions with us.
As part of the Erasmus + project, our colleague Magdalena Kraljić, Blaž Kozina and I stayed in Vienna on the 11th and 12th February 2019, at one of the largest private universities in Austria – Schloos Seeburg.
The University has over 900 students at two locations, one of them being located in the beautiful Seekrichen castle, near Salzburg, and the other one (which we visited) is on the outskirts of Vienna. In the newly-built compound, there are top-equipped classrooms, and staff and teachers at the university were more than friendly and made our stay as pleasant as possible. The Schloos Seeburg Private University has several study programs, on undergraduate and graduate levels, in the field of Business Administration, Sports and Event Management, Psychology of Economics, Creative Management and Management.
Our host at the university was Dr. Robert Kaspar, who teaches in an interesting and innovative way, collaborating with his students. They work in small groups of twenty students, and the lesson is based on practical examples and case studies. During the exchange I had a chance to give a lecture for the students of Sport Management on the topic “Croatian Football Association”, where we discussed to the current situation in the Croatian Football Association and the recent success of our national football team.
After the lecture, we visited the beautiful historic center of Vienna and returned to Aspira full of impressions.
Marin Nerlović, mag. cin.
