Turizmijada is the International Congress, which brings together students of tourism and hospitality management, with the participation of over 25 faculties from 10 countries of our region. Its aim is to spread the spirit of tolerance while making new friends and acquiring new knowledge and skills. It is divided in two sections: scientific and sports. Scientific section consists of students competing in a Case Study Challenge, and sports section is reserved for soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis and chess.
Aspira students participated in this year’s eighth Turizmijada held from April 29 until May 30 in the Montenegrin town of Tivt. Our team consisted of following students: Aleksey Kondulokov, Mate Gotovac and Mirjana Mišetić. They presented their work entitled “Has the cycling tourism been solving the problem of seasonality in the area of Dalmatian Hinterland?” in the Case Study Challenge.
“With the great help and support from our teachers we were able to present our work on such an important congress. We have also gained new skills, and had the opportunity to listen to ideas and innovations from other students. We had this type of training for the first time, and we’re really excited”, our students commented.
After education, there was time for sport in which our students were competing with other teams. Sports results were not so important as was fun and socializing with other participants. After successfully finishing all the obligations, students were entertaining by the hotel pool.
What is the better way to meet new people than on the party, which lasted from the afternoon until the early morning hours every day. And we have gained new friendships, made contacts, fulfilled obligations, sang, danced, enjoyed hanging out. So many things have happened to remember.
