The students of Aspira High School this year as well have successfully completed the Professional Practice, which is the basis of the overall assessment of this subject.
The Professional Practice was done in renowned hotels, tourist organizations, restaurants, sports clubs and organizations that were great places where practical knowledge and skills were acquired. In addition to the knowledge, students also had beautiful experiences because for some of them, it was their first meeting with real business engagement.
Career Day held every year at Aspira this year brought together over 60 employers. This day is in the function of a kind of ”agreement” for Professional Practice, which means a lot to students because they are given the opportunity to present themselves to the strongest tourist, gastronomic and sports companies and organizations. Upon completion of the interview, the “employer” selects candidates who will be able to upgrade their knowledge and skills later on for employment in their hotel, restaurant, agency or club.
Furthermore, employers point out that Career Day for them is a “recruiting centre” where they have the opportunity to see the young generations of future tourist, gastronomic and sports managers. It provides them with a unique insight into the future and facilitates the process for finding quality young staff.
We are exceptionally proud that the practice often continues in seasonal but also permanent employment and is the first reference in the student’s resume.
This year, students were in hotels like Hilton, Valamar, Kempinski, Raddison Blu, Le Meridien Lav, Bluesun and many other top tourist establishments and facilities. Students of Gastronomy have been practicing in restaurants such as Nautika, Pelegrini, Hotel Park and Zinfandel. The students of Sports Management performed their practice in clubs such as MNK Split Tommy, MNK Solin, the Sokol Karate Club, the Monter Teakwondo Club and the Overtime Sports Marketing Agency and many other sports clubs and organizations.
