Lifelong Learning Department of Aspira University College organizes an international training program for the Marina Manager. The aim of the program is to enable marina managers to acquire new knowledge and skills for modern marina management, as well as to formalize previously acquired knowledge and experience in order to improve the quality of their marinas.

Aspira University College and the Adriatic Croatia International Club (ACI) signed a cooperation agreement on staff training through International Training Programs for Qualification in the Navy – CLICK HERE.

PROGRAM CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING MODULES:

  • Management and function of marina management
  • The strategy of modern marketing of nautical tourism ports
  • Financial indicators of marina operations
  • Risk management
  • Technical conditions of navigating and working in marinas
  • Legal aspects of nautical tourism
  • Ecology of nautical tourism (Balmas project)
  • Croatia’s competitiveness in nautical tourism
  • Trends in chartering

Each module includes theoretical and practical part, exercises and workshops.

LECTURERS ARE PROMINENT WORLD EXPERTS:

  • Mick Bettesworth, B.Sc. MRICS CMM, Marina Consultant and President of the Global Marina Institute, a leading lecturer
  • Tihomir Duplić, lawyer, maritime law expert
  • Ph.D. Živana Ninčević Gladan, Scientific Advisor, Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries
  • M.Sc. Tone Britovšek, CEO IRM Bright Solutions, author of the software program for Marina Business
  • M.Eng. Franjo Potak, DNV Lead Auditor, Risk Management Expert

  • Jadranka Skelin, inspector for occupational safety

After successfully completing the final exam, a license for training for the job of the Marina Manager is issued to the participant.
