- Hello and welcome. Can you introduce yourself?
L: Hello, my name is Laura Mishevska, I am 20 years old and I come from North Macedonia.
A: Hello, my name is Alexis Gentil, I am 22 years old and I come from France.
- For long have you been here and for how long are you going to stay here?
L: We have been here for a year already and are currently studying in our second year of gastronomy.
- Why did you choose Croatia/Split?
L: I came to Croatia because I found Aspira and decided it would be a goood school for me to do my bachelor degree.
A: Aspira and Croatia attracted me, and my step-dad, who is Croatian, also influenced me a little bit.
- What is your favourite place in Split?
L: My favorite place in Split is Marjan Hill.
A: I would say that the Riva is my favorite place in Split.
- Are there any differences and similarities between Croatia and your home country? Do you like them?
L: The climate in my home country is very differnet than in Split, we get snow over there during the winter months and as opposed to Split, we do not have a sea. I feel like the people are more or like the same.
A: I think that it is safer here than it is in France, Croatian people are also more open and friendly. I also feel like we have very different cultures.
- How do you like the Croatian mentality?
L: I feel like they are very warm, friendly and they love their easy going way of life.
A: They are very welcoming and always ‘’pomalo’’.
- About Aspira: Why did you choose Aspira? How do you like it?
L: I am very satisfied with my studies, the classes and the professors are great. I also like the fact that Aspira allows us to meet new people and start friendships with people from all over the world.
A: It’s a good school, I can see the effort the professors put in their classes and they show interest in us learning.
- How is the relation between Croatian students and international students?
L: They always try to be friendly towards us and they are easy to talk to.
A: I have a really good relationship with them. I feel like they are all really friendly and I am making a lot of Croatian friends here. They especially love it when I speak Croatian to them!
