Aspira College of Management and Design is a partner in a project called TOURISM4ALL a part of Interreg V-A Italy-Croatia CBC Program. Full name of the project: Development of a crossborder network for the promotion of accessible tourism destinations. The total project budget is € 2,596,808.50 (of which € 2,207,287.22 is co-financed by ERDF), Aspira’s budget is € 120,000.00 in total (of which € 102,000.00 is co-financed by ERDF, and € 18,000.00 is co-financed by Aspira) , and the estimated duration of the project is 30 months.
The aim of the project is to develop and promote a cross-border network of accessible tourist destinations with natural and cultural heritage through the promotion of social inclusion and the promotion of tourism services for disadvantaged people (eg people with disabilities, the elderly). The project involves 13 partner organizations from the program area, aimed at extending the tourist season, as well as exchanging experiences and harmonizing methods to ensure better cooperation among local stakeholders.
Kick off meeting of the Steering committee of the Tourism4All project (Development of a crossboarder network for the promotion of the accessible tourism destination) was held In Termoli (Campobasso) on November 27 and 28, 2018, on which Aspira also participated as a partner in WP3 activities. A total of 13 partners from Italy and Croatia are collaborating on the project.

Since the beginning of the Tourism4all project, several meetings have been held: Kick-off meeting on 27th and 28th of November 2018 in Tremoli, Italy, Steering Committee meetings on 28th and 29th of May 2019 in Croatia in Zadar and 3rd and 4th of December 2019 in Bari, Italy. The first educational accessible tourism training was also held in Padua in November 2019.

On Thursday, June 27th 2019, a focus group was held at Aspira, where representatives of various organizations that actively participate in creating the tourist offer met. Also, in November 2019 a public lecture was held in Aspira and the topic was “Tourism4all – how to make tourism more accessible?”

On 14th of february 2020 another focus group was held. On this focus group representatives of various organizations involved in creating the tourist offer were introduced to the results of research conducted by Odos, Irecoop and Aspira as part of the project “Tourism4all”.

On June 18th 2020 at ASPIRA College, in collaboration with the public institution Public Institution RERA S.D. for the coordination and development of the Split-Dalmatia County, a “Train the trainer” workshop was held on the topic “How to understand the needs of disadvantaged people and increase the accessibility of the location”.

Aspira participated on 1st Cross Border Seminar that was organized by PP3 City of Zadar and was held via Zoom Meeting platform on 29th of September, 2020.

Aspira on 25th June 2021. participated in a B2B event organized by the project partner “RERA S.D.” in Split, Croatia.
During May and June of 2021., two lectures were held at Aspira – the presentation of the project and partner institutions.
The audience was introduced to the goals of the projects and the ways how provide to everyone suitable access to tourist destinations.
Also, the possibility of accessibility of tourism in the city of Split was discussed.
Aspira participated on the 2.Online crossborder seminar (14th July 2021).
Study visit – Šibenik
The Tourist Board of the city of Šibenik hosted the project partners during a two-day study visit (8-9th November 2021).
Italian partners from the Molise region, the Puglia region and Delta2000, as well as representatives of RERA
Split-Dalmatia, Aspira Split University, the city of Zadar and LAG Brač had the opportunity to learn more about Šibenik
and its surroundings. During the first day, the Civitas Sacra Interpretation Center and the Museum of the City of
Šibenik were visited, as well as the center of the city of Šibenik with its historical sights. On the second day
of the study visit, the fortress of St. Nikola and Krka National Park were visited.
