The welcome day for our Master students 2022/2023 took place in the new halls of Aspira College on October 28th 2022. Aspira welcomed students from all over the world for their tourism, gastronomy and sports management studies.
The welcome day was opened by Ms. Matija Tresić Škara as the assistant of coordinator for International Tourism and Hospitality management study program. She gave a warm and hospitable greeting to the new students and spoke about how excited she was to see new faces. Moreover, she held a presentation about Aspira College and showed the rules and obligations that students have while studying at Aspira. Afterwards, she asked the students to introduce themselves so they could get to know each other. On one hand, we had local students which already finished their Bachelor’s degree at Aspira College and now continue doing their Master’s degree there. On the other hand, there were some foreign students who did their Bachelor’s degree in their home country and now they came to Split to do their Master’s degree here.
Following that Ms. Petra Mandac, Vice Dean for International Relations and Mr. Josip Radić, International Relations Coordinator took over addressing especially the new International students. They emphasized the importance of high education at Aspira College which is also the reason why Aspira can be an important stepping stone for the students’ career not only in Croatia but worldwide.
Ms. Laura Frapporti, Coordinator for Business Career and Support Center for students and professors, talked about the importance of further education and self-improvement whereby Aspira will be a huge support on this path. Furthermore, she mentioned that Master studies at Aspira combine theory and practical experience by having an internship in the 4th semester which is very important for finding a job after the studies.
The welcome day was closed with a speech by Ms. Matija Tresić Škara who motivated the students to work hard and never give up till they finish their studies. After the official part, students could grab something to eat at the buffet and connect better with one another.
