Language courses: English/Croatian
Language improvement is the core element of the program, with classes in ESP (English for special purposes) covering specialized terminology, presentation and discussion skills needed for participation in seminars, as well as a crash course in Croatian to master the basics of day-to-day communication around town, and to prepare you for more serious Croatian classes during your undergrad studies at our university.
Study Skills
Our teachers are there to help you, but you need to develop independent study skills for your future academic and professional career. You will attend courses designed to improve your ability to work on your own, with skills such as motivation and setting goals, time and priority management, test-taking etc.
Cultural Studies
It is impossible to use a language without understanding the culture that surrounds it. The program includes cultural communication aspects of the major English-speaking cultures and covers aspects of European culture, in general, as well as the culture of your host country, Croatia.
Math
The program includes revision of basic algebra as preparation for more advanced undergraduate courses in finance and accounting.
