Since the establishment of Aspira in 2008 and long before that, Mr. Milivoj Jerkunica, always with a visionary view, developed education and helped many to realize their potential and acquire knowledge that will help them in the rest of their lives.
The Agency for Vocational and Adult Education recognized the immeasurable mark he left on education in Croatia, and at the 17th Week of Lifelong Learning, he was awarded the Award for professional contribution to the development of adult education. The award was presented to him by Mile Živčić, Head of ASOO.
Aspira significantly developed its department of lifelong learning and added programs to it year after year providing participants with as much knowledge as possible, and that which they will need in real life the very next day. Lifelong learning programs at Aspira have an extremely large number of participants who participate in formal, informal, tailor-made workshops and trainings.
In addition to Aspire, Mr. Jerkunica is the founder of Split Contemporary University and Atlantis, which together form one of the largest private educational groups.
Along with the awarding of the Award to Mr. Jerkunica at the Lifelong Learning Week held in Dubrovnik, the topic “Lifelong learning – key to success or necessity?” was discussed, and then the 15th Lifelong Learning Fair was held in the Dubrovnik Student Center.
