Our colleague Mario Buble participated in the national professional conference “Financially Literate – A Step Towards a More Secure Future”, organized by the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (ASOO) as part of the celebration of the Global Money Week and the European Money Week.
The conference was held on 24 March 2026 at the Vršilnica venue in Novi Dvori, Zaprešić, bringing together educators, professional associates, and other stakeholders with the shared goal of improving financial literacy among young people.
During the conference, numerous successful student projects and activities were presented, along with examples of best practices from across Croatia. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of developing financial competencies among young people as a foundation for responsible personal financial management and successful integration into the labour market.
As part of the programme, our colleague Mario Buble delivered a presentation entitled:
“Financial Knowledge and Student Financial Literacy as the Key to Business Planning at the Start of a Professional Career”
In his presentation, he highlighted the importance of financial education for students as one of the key prerequisites for a successful entry into the business world. Through practical examples and experiences from both educational and business environments, he demonstrated the role of financial literacy in business planning, responsible financial decision-making, and the development of entrepreneurial competencies.
Presenting Best Practices in Financial Literacy Education
Participation in professional conferences such as this contributes to the exchange of knowledge, experience, and examples of best practice, while also reinforcing the importance of continuous efforts to strengthen financial literacy among younger generations.
