On Sunday, October 8, 2023, an inspiring event was held in which Aspira also participated.
The first European gastronomic competition for people with disabilities was organized under the neme “Cupid’s Spoon street food festival”.
The event, located at a beautiful location by Lake Granešina, took place in a fun atmosphere as competitors from 22 countries fought for the grand finale, which took place on Sunday afternoon. All visitors could taste food and drinks prepared by the finalists for free.
As in previous years, the Aspira readily responded to the invitation and “Aspira Humanitarian Club” participated with the students of chef Nikša Boban.
During the event, students were assigned to teams with people with disabilities, providing them with support and assistance during cooking and food distribution.
This opportunity for cooperation and exchange of experiences allowed male and female students to understand the challenges that people with disabilities face in everyday life. They also developed their skills in communication, empathy and inclusive work. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversations and exchange of stories.
