Aspira is richer for another collaboration. Specifically, a scholarship agreement was signed for the student of Computer Science by IT company Typeqast. It is a Dutch software development company that has opened offices in Split and Zagreb and currently employs around one hundred people.
The scholarship agreement was signed by the Dean of Aspira College, Mr. Alen Jerkunica, and the Director of Typeqast, Mr. Marko Barić, who emphasized that Typeqast aims to stimulate the employment and development of young IT professionals in Croatia, and that the cooperation with Aspira, a high quality educational institution that places emphasis on practical knowledge and follows IT trends is the way to go.
The Dean, Mr. Jerkunica, expressed great satisfaction with this cooperation, which gives students the opportunity to acquire all the necessary knowledge and competences in the real sector. It is these competences that provide them with employment opportunities immediately after graduation, which is not possible without experts in the profession and quality companies who, as partners, provide students with scholarships, internship programs and mentoring.
Filip Jakovčević, Aspira’s 3rd year student in Computer Engineering, majoring in Software Engineering, was awarded this scholarship. He pointed out that this was a unique opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills he had acquired while studying, as well as to integrate them into the labor market during his studies.
