Robert Aronson, Director of the Idea Workshop with many years of marketing experience, held a workshop for Aspira International Management in Tourism and Hospitality on June 5th entitled “Strategies and Innovation”. In addition to professional and practical knowledge shared by Mr Aronson, we exchanged a few words with him that could further guide our students in their process of maturing and forming as individuals. Mr Aronson believes that one of the most important things, at a young age, is to listen to the advice of those who know more and whose careers prove the correctness of their decisions. It is very important to be ready to recognize the other side of the story and realize that our opinion or attitude is not the only one that matters and that in many cases it depends on the aspect of observation. He adds that the process and step towards higher education is very important for every individual, but only if it is taken seriously. A superficial understanding of college education and a lack of motivation to learn cause a great missed opportunity which is especially visible during the internship period that Aspira offers since the first year of study. Professional practice is an exceptional advantage because it immediately allows you to experience everything that a particular job brings and to be ready for it when you enter the labour market. Precisely because of this, you have a great advantage over your colleagues who are encountering practical tasks for the first time and this is what will set you apart from the crowd. Thank you Mr Aronson for taking the time to work with our Tourism students and sharing your knowledge and experience with them.
