Students of the University College Aspira once again made an effort to cheer up the youngest. This time it was for the charity “With sport to hearts”, which was attended by the mini football team MNK Split Tommy and basketball team KK Split, cheering up the wards of the Angels Association, children with severe physical disabilities. Club members of the younger age, female football players and seniors of the mini football club Split also attended the event at the small Spaladium Arena gym. As a sign of gratitude for being part of this action, the Aspira students presented the written acknowledgements to the captain of the basketball club Split, Srđan Subotić, president of the the mini football team MNK Split, Ivo Zoković and Aspira vice dean Ivana Jadrić.
-Aspira students organise several charity events every year, which were mainly done perfectly, but we are never completely satisfied. We always want more, and when we finally fill up the Spaladium Arena, then we will say that we are completely satisfied. This was our class task, which was made for grade, but it has already turned into a tradition. I hope that the younger colleagues will continue it in the following years – said Nino Kapitanović, 3rd year Aspira student, president of the Student Union and “moving spirit” of this charity event.
This is not the first time that Aspira students organize such events. In March it was blood donation. In August, together with football players of Hajduk and Split, they helped the residents of the care home Maestral. They continued with charity work during the Christmas season, as well. Only in this event they collected 250 gifts for children.
– I want to thank the Aspira students because for years now they have shown their good heart and generosity towards our children – said Dijana Aničić from the Angels Association.
Central and the most interesting event was the match between mini football team MNK Split Tommy and basketball team KK Split. KK Split started to lead with the score of Srđan Subotić. Brazilian player Genario scored a goal for the final l 1: 1. But all this was less important in this story…
