Next week, from June 30 to July 4, 2025, Aspira University College in Split will welcome participants of the international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). The program features a rich schedule of lectures, workshops, field trips, and cultural exchange activities, focusing on international management, tourism, sustainable development, and digital transformation.
Preparations in Full Swing
As the start date approaches, preparations are underway on several fronts:
-
Coordination and logistics – We’re welcoming more than 30 international students and lecturers. Accommodation, local transport, and arrivals are being carefully organized.
-
Online pre-program activities – Introductory webinars and learning materials in event management, marketing, and tourism are already available to participants.
-
Planning field trips – A detailed itinerary is set, featuring some of Split’s most iconic locations like Diocletian’s Palace, the Riva promenade, and Žnjan beach, with the support of local experts and licensed guides.
-
Organizing workshops and team projects – Students will work in international teams, each tasked with designing a unique project based on the topics covered.
A Look Back: Last Year’s Project with Hajduk Split
Last year, Aspira organized a memorable educational experience in collaboration with HNK Hajduk Split, one of Croatia’s most iconic sports institutions. Students were offered a behind-the-scenes look into the operations of a top football club, participating in lectures, workshops, and fieldwork on sports management and marketing.
The highlight was an exclusive tour of the Poljud Stadium led by Hajduk’s professionals. This hands-on experience combined academic knowledge with real-world insights, leaving participants with new skills, memorable souvenirs, and international connections that lasted long after the event.
What’s New This Year?
Split is ready to take the BIP experience to the next level, offering:
-
Stronger integration of local and international insights – Students will collaborate on real-world projects under the guidance of Aspira’s academic staff.
-
Interactive sessions in multicultural teams – Participants will overcome language and cultural barriers, present their home countries, and share best practices.
-
Enriched social and cultural program – Language quizzes, regional food nights, beach outings, and walks along Split’s new waterfront will provide space for networking and fun.
Why This BIP Stands Out
-
Theory meets practice – A powerful mix of online learning and on-site experience creates meaningful impact.
-
Local contributions with global impact – Students offer ideas to improve tourism and management in Split, providing value beyond the classroom.
-
An international perspective – The experience goes far beyond the academic, building a network of contacts and opportunities for future cooperation.
Final Word – A Perspective-Changing Experience
This BIP is designed for students and teachers across Europe who want to deepen their knowledge in sustainable management and digital tools, while actively engaging with the local community. After last year’s successful collaboration with Hajduk Split, Aspira is raising the bar—both in terms of academic development and positioning Split as a vibrant, globally connected destination.
