Peter Labus – F&B strategist, educator, international consultant, and author with over 40 years of experience in hospitality – delivered a workshop on May 21st titled “100 Years of the Profession – F&B Manager”. Students explored the evolution of this vital hotel role, from traditional brigades and historical development to today’s strategic responsibilities in food & beverage management. The workshop offered a comparative overview of F&B practices across top global destinations such as France, Italy, Dubai, Singapore, the USA, and Thailand, providing valuable insights into global trends and challenges in this dynamic profession.
The workshop was part of the first year of the Master’s program in Hotel and Tourism Management at Aspira in Split, aimed at equipping students with practical skills and knowledge for modern tourism and hospitality leadership.
