On the month of May our International Relations coordinator Josip Radić attended the University of Palermo during their International week which was held from the 9th to the 13th.
Josip enjoyed various presentations about several different topics that were held by the university’s staff and lecturers. One of them spoke about the internationalization of their institution in the incoming aspect, where they introduced the incoming office activities, their university facilities as well as their region, their city and finally a few reasons as to why choose Palermo for studying. They also presented the same topic but from the outgoing perspective, where they spoke about their outgoing student office – Erasmus+ and its growth and expansion over the years, they discussed about their challenge for 2022 as the number of students who want to participate in different mobilities has severely increased over the years and their numerous solutions for it.
Several other presentations were held speaking about the International Relations Office (IRO), one discussed the cooperation and networks and the benefits of having them, the second one spoke about the projects and funding thoroughly explaining the components of activities, programs, and projects, and the third one discussed the international tasks of the UNIPA (Universita degli Studi di Palermo) and it explained their mission and vision, their structure, activities, and their Erasmus+ mobility.
Finally, there was a very interesting presentation about the “forthem” alliance, they started with the Mobility Mission where they presented the short-term mobility, the campus, the digital academy, and the opportunities for both the academic staff and the students. They continued with the Outreach Mission where they discussed about civic engagement and internships. Finally, they concluded with the Lab Mission where they talked about the forthem labs, the opportunities for staff and students and finally, the structure.
We hope that Josip had a wonderful time in the University of Palermo’s international week and that he learned a lot about these exceptionally interesting topics.
