Alanya, a beautiful city on the Turkish coast, lined with a beautiful sandy beach. However, for those of us who come from the Mediterranean, the sun and the sea are not news, but what pleasantly surprised me is the friendliness of the local population and especially tourism workers.
Every aspect of culture and way of life was interwoven in our activities at the international week organized by the University of Alanya. From the abundant dishes that we had the opportunity to try in beautiful locations to the Turkish Show and belly dance that evoked the history and traditional dances of this country and region.
It really wasn’t easy to coordinate 74 participants, and the two organizers Anna and Christine pulled it off without fail. We had the opportunity to meet colleagues from various universities across Europe, connect with them for some future cooperation and exchange experiences, learn something new and bring home good ideas that we can apply in our work.
I would definitely recommend Erasmus opportunities to all colleagues who aspire to refresh their career and never stop searching for creativity.
