As part of the Erasmus+ program, our dear colleagues Matija Škara Tresić and Maja Zelić went on an Erasmus adventure for staff in Prague, Czech Republic. Colleagues stayed and were guests at the University of Business in Prague and participated in the International Week, whose main theme was: Tourism Industry – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
“The university we visited is located near the center and the old town of Prague, which is the heart and soul of the city. Thanks to the doc. ing. Vera Seifertova and through her presentation of the Czech Republic as a tourist destination, we have traveled over a thousand years of history, architecture, monuments, places, localities and culture”, says Matija Škara Tresić.
“From April 4 to April 8, 2022, we had the opportunity to learn more about tourism in historic cities, the sustainability of agriculture in the context of the European Green Deal, effective promotions of tourism, industrial tourism, entrepreneurship in the time of COVID-19 and what awaits tourism in of the future.
The friendly staff of the University, headed by the Erasmus coordinator Ing. Gabriela Antošova, Ph.D. organized educational and fun trips and networking dinners. The idea of any personnel mobility is to exchange experience in the desired field and acquire knowledge and skills important for performing activities at the current workplace. During the participation in the Erasmus week, you get much more than just an idea. It is a special opportunity to meet and connect with people of the same interest, a chance to learn about other cultures and finally, an opportunity to learn about yourself through travel and education.
In the end, the colleagues gave a presentation about Aspira University and presented the study programs that are being carried out and the overall impression was taken care of by colleague Maja Zelić, who gave the presentation in the jersey of HNK Hajduk Split, because we know about the great love between Prague and Split, hence the slogan Prague – yesterday, today, tomorrow best describes the overall experience of this International Week.
