Tourism is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in Croatia that offers great potential for employment and the development of a successful career. According to research published in one of the most influential business newspapers, the Financial Times, Croatia is the seventh destination in the world as a potential tourist investment. Such high recognition was won in a competition with 43 countries, which is no small matter. Croatia’s popularity is enough to account for the record of 19, 4 million visitors in 2018, and its further growth is predicted.
World Tourism Organization statistics show that in 2018 as much as 6.8% more tourists travelled, which means 1.3 billion trips around the world. Experts’ predictions are that this trend will continue in the coming years, largely thanks to over 70% of millenials who prefer to spend money on new experiences rather than material things. What Croatia, as well as other popular destinations in the world, lacks is the quality workforce, which negatively affects the quality of services in tourism and the satisfaction of guests with domestic tourist offer.
This is the reason why Aspira University College has been successfully training and preparing students for future careers in hospitality and tourism for many years. Students can choose between three undergraduate and graduate programs, specializing in Hotel Management, Destination Management Organizations and Companies (DMO and DMC) and Gastronomy.
