On February 22nd, 2020 an interactive lecture on “Implementation of teaching strategies in the teaching process” was held on Aspira. The lecture was given by Assoc. dr. sc. Vesna Kostović-Vranješ from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Split. In modern class, learning and teaching is a process in which students, with the support of teachers, independently acquire certain knowledge, judgments, evaluations and actions. Therefore, it is necessary to direct teaching towards students taking responsibility for their own learning process in order for them to develop the necessary competencies for lifelong learning. In order to point out the importance of active learning as a didactic-methodological paradigm of modern teaching, teachers of Aspira College were involved in practical activities that implemented teaching strategies to encourage active learning. In this way, they had the opportunity, in addition to theoretical discusssions, to personally participate in training for the application of teaching strategies in their lectures.
