Gacko Public University organized the 2nd conference “Intangible Heritage as a Potential for Development” which took place in Otočac on June 7th, 2024 in Hotel Park. Some of the main partners are the City of Otočac and the Tourist Board of the City of Otočac, as well as Aspira as an educational partner. The realization of cooperation between the Aspira and the Gacko Public University is also in the process.
The second edition of the conference, was presented by six panelists (Mirela Hrovatin, Ph.D., Krešimir Dabo, Ph.D., Irena Miholić, Ph.D., Katarina Bušić, Prof. Meri Vesanović and Ante Fumić) from fields related to heritage, marketing, legislation, entrepreneurship and new technologies.
The panelists shared their experiences and knowledge in managing projects based on intangible cultural heritage through two panels on the following topics: “Preserving traditions from the past as a pledge for a sustainable future”, “Reference center for intangible culture”, “Culture, economy, tourism: intangible heritage as an intersectoral link”, “Heritage in which people are the main protagonists”, “Presentation and communication in branding of culture” and “Application of XR in the interpretation of cultural heritage”.
Aspira was represented at the conference by Matija Škara Tresić, Ana Lujić, Marina Milinković and Petra Mandac.
The conference ended with networking and exchange of experiences through a pleasant gathering of speakers, patron representatives, participants and partners.
