Due to high interest of employers, this year the Career Fair was held for 2 days, on the <strong>7<sup>th<\/sup> and 8<sup>th<\/sup> February<\/strong> 2019 at Aspira Split.<\/p>\n<p>The opening ceremony was held by the <strong>Dekan Alen Jerkunica<\/strong>\u00a0who emphasized that students are the greatest possible resource in which we should invest. He noted that Aspira is trying to be a special college from its very beginning, in that it connects its students with employers and encourages employment during studies. Alongside employers, the ceremony was attended by the representatives of the City of Split, Split-Dalmatian County, Croatian Employment Agency and various vocational associations that support Aspira\u2019s work.\u00a0 The audience was addressed by the head of Economic and tourism department of Split, <strong>Ela \u017di\u017ei\u0107<\/strong>, the director of Croatian Employer Association,<strong> Vesna Ivi\u0107 \u0160imetin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Vesna Fridl<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Ana Marija Puzi\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0before the County Chamber of Split, as well as the vice-president of Croatian Olympic Committee, <strong>\u017deljko Jerkov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture by <strong>Dalibor \u0160umige<\/strong>\u00a0entitled\u00a0<strong>\u201eFify shades of entrepreneurship\u201c\u00a0<\/strong>that took place on both Career Fair days. \u0160umiga is <strong>Google Growth Engine ambassador<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>a member of world neuro-marketing association (NMSBA)<\/strong>\u00a0and the founder of the first behavioural agency in the Adriatic region.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"dt-pswp-item\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aspira.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/3.jpg\" data-dt-img-description=\"\" data-large_image_width=\"6240\" data-large_image_height=\"4160\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-22119\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aspira.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"771\" height=\"514\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aspira.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/3.jpg 6240w, https:\/\/www.aspira.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.aspira.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.aspira.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/3-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 771px) 100vw, 771px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The two-day event <strong>Career Fair <\/strong>is intended for the students of all years and study programs so thay can connect with the best world companies. This year more than 100 leading hotels, tourist agencies, IT companies, sports clubs and organizations were represented at Career Fair. Some of the global leaders in their areas who took part at Career Fair are hotels <strong>Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Falkensteiner and\u00a0 Valamar<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Radisson Group, Leonardo Hotels\u00a0<\/strong>from Germany.\u00a0 Some other participants from famous IT companie included <strong>Ericsson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Konzum<\/strong>, \u00a0<strong>HR Cloud<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sedam IT\u00a0<\/strong><strong>and <\/strong>numerous sports clubs, such as\u00a0<strong>Rugby club <\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Nada<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Basketball club<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Split<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Croatian Olympic Committee, Split Sports Association, Female Football Club Marjan<\/strong>\u00a0and company <strong>Nutricionist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In order to prepare for their presentations to employers, students have participated in the workshops organized by Aspira and Croatian Employment Agency. According to the latest data by Centre for Business Careers Aspira, most students find their permanent employment with the employer that hired them for internship, and as many as 97% of students stay employed in their profession.
